Due to an epidemic of last-minute cancellations and no shows, we enforce the

following policies:

 

Appointments should be cancelled AT LEAST 24 hours in advance (excluding after business hours, weekends, and holidays).

​

If you are a new client, and do not confirm your appointment at least 24 hours in advance (by text, email, or when called), we will automatically cancel your appointment, and consider this your first no show or less than 24 hour cancellation and follow the regular policy indicated below.

If you no show for your first visit, prepayment of the office visit for future scheduled appointments will be required and is non-refundable, unless cancelled at least 24 hours in advance (excluding after business hours, weekends, and holidays).  After one year, your account will be reevaluated according to the following policy.

After TWO cancellations less than 24 hours in advance (excluding after business hours, weekends, and holidays) or no shows within a year, prepayment of the office visit for a scheduled appointment will be required and is non-refundable, unless cancelled at least 24 hours in advance (excluding after business hours, weekends, and holidays).  This policy resets one year from the last offense..

ALL surgery or dental appointments require a $50 deposit, REFUNDABLE ONLY IF

CANCELLED AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE (excluding after business hours, weekends, and holidays).

To reschedule a surgery or dental appointment that has been cancelled less than 48

hours in advance or no showed per previous policy, a deposit equaling the base estimate of the procedure/dental will be required, REFUNDABLE ONLY IF CANCELLED AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE (excluding after business hours, weekends, and holidays).

You will be contacted by text, email, and/or phone call at least 24 hours in advance to

confirm your scheduled appointment, and at least 48 hours in advance, excluding weekends or holidays, to confirm your surgery/dental appointment.  It is respectful to respond!  No response does NOT constitute a cancellation.

 

 

Refilling Prescriptions

There are several ways to request a prescription refill.  You can call into our refill line and leave a message, just call 904-413-7878 and press 1.  We do require 24-48 hours to fill your prescription refill (including paper prescriptions to outside pharmacies), and will text and call you when it is ready.  

Drop Off Appointments

Claws and Paws offers drop off appointments only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the following apply:

  • The client must be established with Claws and Paws, with the pet having at least two previous annual visits with us.

  • These appointments are only for preventative annual visits, dermatology concerns, ear infections, or possible UTI's.

  • These appointments are not for pets who are aggressive or do not like cages, or who need to be muzzled to handle.

  • There is an additional boarding charge associated with these appointments for the convenience of dropping off.

  • The client will receive a checklist and consent form by email, and must return it at least 48 hours before the day of the appointment.

  • The client will be given an estimate for the cost of the visit based on the checklist to sign at drop off.

  • The client must be able to receive a phone call at any time when the doctor calls to go over the visit.  There will not be an opportunity to go into a room or speak to the doctor at pick up.​
